Calverton is probably the least populated hamlet in East Long Island. Its a hamlet just before Riverhead and is mostly a farming/agricultural community. F-14 MemorialCalverton is most famous for the no abandoned Grumman Manufacturing plant, where F-14 Tomcats once came off the assembly line. Today, all that is left of the plant is a monument to the once great F-14.
